Compliance Chain partner Burmor Construction have started work to deliver affordable rent and shared ownership dwellings in Huntingdonshire on behalf of their new client, settle group.
Situated in the prominent area of St Ives, the site at Low Road will bring a total of 94 affordable rent and shared ownership homes; a key driver for local Huntingdonshire District Council to improve the housing situation in the area.
The groundworks team have begun on site, and the project is due for completion in Q4 2025.
Low carbon building solutions will be used to produce future proofed, high performing developments that consider cost of living for future residents. All 64 flats will be built using LoCaL Homes Eco-150 panels and the remaining 30 houses will be built using their Eco-100 system.
Community engagement and social value will sit at the heart of this development, with Burmor Construction committing to delivering skills development schemes and volunteering throughout the project lifecycle.
Project delivery KPIs including social value delivery, supply chain management and project management will be monitored using Compliance Chain.
