Certified to Deliver: The Standards You Can Trust

In an environment where trust and accountability are critical in every project, certifications aren’t a requirement, they’re proof. They ensure that the standards you uphold are independently verified and that your processes, data, and people are held to a benchmark that goes beyond expectations.

At Compliance Chain, quality and compliance sit at the core of everything we do – and we are constantly raising the bar for ourselves, and most importantly, for our clients.

Since 2023 we have steadily built and retained a portfolio of certifications covering information security, cyber resilience, quality management, health and safety, and inspection. Each of these certifications requires rigorous assessments, ongoing commitment, and continuous improvement to retain them.

Here’s what they are and why they are critical for us.

Our Certifications

ISO/IEC 27001 – Information Security Management

This international standard sets out how organisations should manage sensitive information across people, technology, and processes. For us, this is our most important certification, considering the nature of our industry. Our clients share sensitive data with us constantly, and they need confidence it is protected.

Achieving this certification required implementing structured, risk-based procedures across every aspect of how we handle that data. It is audited annually, with a full recertification every four years by WCS, a UKAS-accredited certification body, so we always maintain the level of assurance our clients deserve.

Cyber Essentials Plus – Cyber Security

This government-backed scheme helps organisations protect against the most common cyber threats, with the Plus tier going beyond self-assessment, involving independent technical testing of the organisation’s defences.

For our clients, this gives them that extra confidence, knowing that they’re working with a platform whose cyber security has been externally tested and verified.

Recognised Assessment Body for the Common Assessment Standard (CAS)

Introduced by Build UK and the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA), the Common Assessment Standard streamlines pre-qualification across the built environment sector by replacing multiple supplier questionnaires with a single standardised assessment.

Compliance Chain is one of only seven Recognised Assessment Bodies (RABs) in the UK, which allows us to assess and certify suppliers against the CAS. This isn’t just another credential — it means our team is embedded in the ongoing development of the standard, working directly with Build UK to keep CAS aligned with the latest legislation. For clients using our platform to manage their supply chains, that depth of expertise is integrated.

Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP)

This scheme exists to reduce duplication in health and safety pre-qualification across the construction industry. As an SSIP registered member, we meet the core health and safety competency benchmark recognised across a wide range of procurement frameworks and contractor requirements. For our clients, that means one less verification to pursue and the confidence of working with a recognised partner.

ISO/IEC 17020 – UKAS Accredited Inspection Body

UKAS is the sole national accreditation body recognised by the UK government. This accreditation confirms that Compliance Chain operates as a competent, impartial inspection body, with the processes and independence required to carry out inspections to the highest technical standards.

In practice, this links with our SSIP registered membership, allowing us to verify supplier information with both precision and fairness, meaning every assessment is consistent, defensible and unbiased.

ISO 9001 – Quality Management

This is the global recognised standard for Quality Management Systems, providing a framework for consistent service delivery and continuous improvement. For Compliance Chain, it shapes how we develop and enhance our solutions, meaning every update, every new feature and every process change is carried out by a quality framework rather than left to chance.

ISO 45001 – Occupational Health and Safety

This is the international standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, and it covers all Compliance Chain staff and operations. It reflects our priority to keep our people safe, but also a genuine understanding of the safety environment our clients operate within.

More than a ‘box-ticking’ job

Certifications are often talked about as a means to win work, however the real value runs deeper. Holding these certifications help us to drive improvement across the business, in the way of how we operate, how we protect client data, how we deliver our solutions, and how we look after our people.

Much of this work tends to happen behind the scenes – annual audits, recertification cycles, continuous development against standards. This isn’t always visible, but it’s a key factor of what makes Compliance Chain a business clients can rely on.

Quality and compliance aren’t values we claim, but standards that we’re measured against – and we continue to invest in both.
